| Independence residents come join the fun! Community Easter Egg Hunt. Bring a snack and drink for your family and enjoy the fun! 11 and under please. |
| 5/22/07 Schools Out Celebration! |
Bring your favorite snack and drinks and celebrate school being out! It's a pool party. $5 donation towards future social events. |

| Every first Friday thru October, Independence residents are invited to the pool for a chance to get to know neighbors every "first Friday" of the month. Bring your swim stuff, a snack & drinks for your family. |
| 7/4/07 Bike Parade |
| Community bike parade! Kids decorate your bikes and join the parade! Any resident or pet welcome to be in the parade ~ ice pops and coffee to follow. Bake sale too! |
